Emergency Services

Our emergency department is physician-staffed 24 hours a day. All doctors and nurses are trained in a wide variety of advanced care and hold certifications in ACLS, PALS, NALS, TNS, ENPC, and CEN. In addition, all are trained in bedside respiratory therapy for nurses, advanced airway management and EKG interpretation. All physicians are board certified as well.

Our emergency department, part of the 38,000 square foot addition opened in November 2002, contains more space and greater privacy for our patients, a private entrance for patients arriving by ambulance, less congestion and a more confidential area for physician/family consultation. The adjacent helipad affords easy airlift to Advanced level trauma centers, if needed. A decontamination room, coupled with an appropriate response plan, provides greater preparedness.
